MAUI CENTER TARGET SHOOTING CLUB - Become a member for only $150 a year!
If you would like to become well skilled with your pistol or rifles you will need to practice your skills! Becoming a member of Maui Center Target Shooting Club will provide the opportunity! Practice your skills in the outdoor range environment with the supervision of a Range Safety Officer (RSO). Your membership provides you with the opportunity to shoot monthly!
Required: Copy of Pistol Safety Course Certificate or other documentation of a safety course approved on a case by case basis.
Our Open days are requested to the county as follows:

CLASSES
PISTOL SAFETY COURSE - $175
Pistol Safety Course - Hawaii law requires a 4-hour classroom instruction plus 2 hours of range time.
Live Fire Conducted at the shooting range under the guidance and supervision of NRA Certified Instructors. This course is intended for all adults and mature children regardless of previous shooting experience.
The classroom portion will review the Maui County firearms rules and regulations, gun safety rules, range safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, selecting and storing a pistol, the fundamentals of shooting, pistol inspection and maintenance, hands on training for learning how to load, fire and unload both Revolver and Semi Auto pistol. The Second portion consist of live fire qualifications, shooting at least a .22lr revolver and a semi auto pistol. Upon course completion, you will receive a certificate of completion and Affidavit.
Once you have your affidavit you may apply for a permit to Acquire a Handgun with the Maui County Police Department Records Department. See Permit to Acquire - Click here
Class starts at 08:30am. Classroom is located at Ukumehame Firing Range, CLASSROOM located at the end of the driveway, entrance of the range. Please be on time. Recommended: Drinking Water, Closed toe shoes, sunscreen, and no low-cut tops, eye and ear protection provided, feel free to bring your own. Refreshments provided for morning and afternoon.

NRA CCW
Prerequisite - USCCA or NRA PISTOL SAFETY CERTIFICATE (other live fire classes may be approved on a case by case basis.)
Must own a legal handgun, outside the waistband holster w/no locks or levels, mag holsters, 3 magazines, 200 rounds.
Short Description:
Course Goal: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. The NRA CCW Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This instructor-led only course gives you direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end and may be conducted in a classroom and on a shooting range with an Instructor.

NRA CCW: NRA CCW takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller blocks of instruction.
More Details: Course topics include: Firearm Safety (Mandatory), Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset, Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, Firearm Cleaning, and Sport Shooting and Training Activities. Course length is determined by the Instructor, to meet your State’s requirements for a CCW permit. Additionally, students may complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive reference books, take a NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.
-YOu will also receive a notarized scoring sheet signed by your NRA instructor.
CLASS HELD @ UKUMEHAME FIRING RANGE - Starts 8:00am, up 10 hour class. Light Breakfast & Lunch provided.

RANGE SAFETY OFFICER - $195
The Range Safety Officer (RSO) course is for those individuals who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. During your instruction you will learn the role of the RSO and Range Standard Operating Procedures, range inspection, range rules, range safety briefing, and emergency procedures. You will build skills with firearm stoppages and malfunctions. You will complete your course with a written exam and review.
This Class is only held 2 TImes a year. Please keep checking to see if one is available.

CCW PROFICIENCY $95

Qualification CCW Proficiency Shooting test
8am-9:30am @ Ukumehame Range
This Qualification is designed to offer shooters a chance to perform a County required proficiency shooting test or if one is not posted by the state/county, a NRA CCW Qualification proficiency shooting test. Ideally, we want to be able to qualify and/or re-qualify those who already have a CCW or are intermediate to advanced shooters. You will be required to demonstrate safe handling procedures and drawing from a holster safely before you can continue to live fire. Any person who is deemed to be unsafe by any range safety officer or instructor will be immediately disqualified with no refund given. Upon Completion you will receive a notarized affidavit of your shooting score.
Requirements:
Must own a legal registered handgun, outside the waistband holster w/no locks or levels, 2 mag holders, 3 magazines, 100 rounds.
Our Volunteer Instructors are happy to answer any questions you may have prior to any qualification. Safety is our main concern.
